Anthurium podophyllum is a spectacular terrestrial species native to the humid forests of Mexico and Central America.
Its large, deeply divided leaves create a dramatic, almost palm-like effect with multiple lobes radiating from a central point.
New growth emerges in bright green before deepening to a rich, velvety tone as the leaf matures.
When fully grown, each leaf can span over two feet across, forming a commanding architectural specimen that thrives in warm, shaded tropical environments.
Basic Care
Light: Bright, indirect light preferred; avoid harsh sunlight that may scorch leaves.
Water: Keep soil evenly moist; allow the top inch to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid standing water.
Humidity: Prefers high humidity; mist regularly or use a humidifier for best growth.
Temperature: Ideal 70–88 °F; protect from cold drafts.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer diluted to half strength.
Difficulty: Moderate — thrives with warmth, humidity, and filtered light.
