Monstera esqueleto is a highly sought-after collector species known for its extremely large leaves and dramatic fenestrations. As it matures, the foliage develops wide openings and deep divisions, creating a bold, skeletal appearance that gives the plant its name.

Unlike smaller fenestrated species, esqueleto produces broad, thin leaves that can grow to impressive sizes when provided with proper support. With a moss pole or totem, the plant climbs and develops increasingly larger, more perforated leaves, making it a true statement piece.

Native to tropical regions of Central and South America, this species thrives in warm, humid environments and is prized for its fast growth and striking visual impact.

Basic Care
Light: Bright, indirect light preferred; avoid harsh direct sun.
Water: Allow the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings while keeping soil evenly moist.
Humidity: Prefers high humidity (60–80 %).
Temperature: Ideal 65–85 °F; protect from cold drafts.
Fertilizer: Feed every 2–4 weeks during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.
Difficulty: Moderate — thrives with humidity and climbing support.

Phonetic: mon-STEHR-ah es-keh-LEH-toh
